With the rapid development of integration of world economy,in the multi-cultural background of continuous collision and coalition and facing the impact and influence caused by western culture,how to base on the local culture and develop diversely has become to the focused topic of nowadays Chinese music education field.While Orff's music teaching method which originated from German gives a solution.Orff emphasized on treating musical culture of different nationalities and regions equally and carrying out music teaching through “the most natural” and “the most viable” music arts from the essence and origin of musics.As a result,Orff's music teaching method are welcomed by people from all over the world and are used in local music teaching,also it helps to develop the music education of a lot of countries.In minority areas of Tibet,because of the abundant music resource,deep music culture and advantageous music environment,which accords with the teaching theory “original nature” put forward by Orff,it helps the development of folk music in Tibet a lot.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter: it mainly states the research background,the significance of the subject and the research status.By concluding the research status of the local teaching method and the setting up of the research thinking and approaches,the basis for the paper is established.The second chapter: this chapter summaries the formation,teaching ideas,the development of the localization of Orff's teaching method and its demand,which sets up a theoretical basis for this paper.The third chapter: by interviewing teachers of primary and middle schools of Tibet,this chapter investigate the current situation of the localization of Orff's teaching method in Tibet and those obstructive factors.The fourth chapter: based on the teaching practice in some primary and middle schools of Tibet,the author analyzes the teaching achievements of the whole year and gives a conclusion.The fifth chapter: according to the practice results and the current situation of the music teaching situation of primary and middle schools in Lasa city,this chapter provides some constructive suggestions to the development way of the localization of Orff's teaching method in Tibet.This paper takes practical teaching in Tibet by using Orff's teaching method as the core,aims at the local teaching with such a method to conduct relating research.By practical teaching,this paper analyzes the feasibility of Orff's teaching method applied in Tibet local teaching,and then accords to the teaching demand,this paper puts forward the thought and outlook of Tibet local teaching.
