Observation And Reflection On Chinese Character Teaching At The Korean General High School

With the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the importance of Chinese characters teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has gradually been stressed.Chinese language courses has been admitted into the general educational systems in South Korea and obtained steady development,however,in ordinary high schools of South Korea,teaching Chinese characters has not been given enough attention.The role and the situation of the Chinese characters teaching in the whole process,the question of how and what to teach in South Korean ordinary high schools should be given a broader and deeper study.This paper,combined with the writer's personal internship teaching experience and observations,intends to analyze problems concerning Chinese characters teaching in ordinary high school in Seoul,South Korea.On the other hand through the student test papers and questionnaire result analysis,to understand their motivation to learn the Chinese characters,interest and attitude,master the basic situation of students learning Chinese characters,Chinese characters teaching reflection effect.Finally,the corresponding teaching Suggestions are put forward from the teaching level and the learning level.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,mainly explains the research background,significance,and summarizes the literature on Chinese character teaching.The second part respectively introduces the current situation of Chinese language teaching at ordinary high schools in Seoul and the Valley high school in which the author works as an internship teacher.The third part is an overall analysis on the questionnaires and the current problems existing in the teaching of Chinese characters.The fourth part focuses the reflection and the suggestions on Chinese Character teaching.The fifth part is the summary of this thesis.
