National scientific literacy is a key factor affecting the economic development of a country,and it is the embodiment of comprehensive national powerIn recent years,China's public scientific literacy level has improved significantly,but there is still a big gap compared with the developed countries,and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation's dream is not suited to the requirements.As we all know,science education plays an important role in the promotion of citizens 'scientific literacy,and the junior high school stage is an important stage of citizen's growth.Strengthening the science education of junior high school students will undoubtedly promote the improvement of citizens' scientific literacy as a whole.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to systematically grasp and prove the influence of popular science education on the scientific literacy of junior high school students and improve the science education of junior middle school.On the basis of expounding the definition and connotation of popular science education and scientific literacy,this paper mainly introduces the "Chinese public scientific literacy questionnaire" and "the future" young people's scientific quality questionnaire ",etc.,the preparation of junior high school science education and scientific literacy Questionnaire,and selected the four secondary schools in Chongqing(including 2 municipal secondary schools,2 districts and counties)conducted a questionnaire survey.The results show that there is a positive correlation between science education and scientific literacy among junior high school students.At the same time,it also got the obvious gap between the science education and the scientific literacy of the middle school students in the main city and the middle school students.The influence of science education on the scientific literacy of junior high school students was more remarkable with the grade.Based on the above analysis,combined with the main problems in the cultivation of junior high school students' scientific literacy in Chongqing,this study puts forward some suggestions to improve the science education of junior high school students to enhance their scientific literacy.First,attach great importance to junior high school science education.Second,to strengthen the combination of science education and school education,the formation of scientific literacy to enhance synergies;third,innovative science education form,to carry out a variety of characteristics of popularscience education;fourth,focus on science education thinking training Function,focus on cultivating students' scientific literacy;Fifth,efforts to develop junior high school science education teachers,Optimize the teachers.
