With the advancement of popularization of higher education,and even a serious unemployment situation faced by college students,colleges and universities have taken initiatives to help their students seek job opportunities,instead of simply committed into the professional training.Schools have also been committed into exploring and trying out new ideas in terms of personal training.In recent years,with the support from gvernment,entrepreneurship education has gone through a rapid development.According to the Report of the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,we should "implement the development strategy of expanding employment,and stimulate employment by promoting entrepreneurship." In April of 2002,a pilot project of Entrepreneurship Education was officially launched by the Ministry of Education.The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has vigorously developed entrepreneurship training in the program of re-employment.The National Development and Reform Commission,the Ministry of Finance,and State Administration of Taxation have granted preferential tax policy in favor of the entrepreneurs.The Third Plenum(Plenary Session)of the 16th Communist Party of China Central Committee has adopted The Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC)on Issues Concerning to Perfect the Socialist Market Economy System,in which it stressed the significance of all citizens to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurship.It has also become an advantage for colleges and universities to develop entrepreneurship education.The paper has a profound understanding of the necessity,importance and urgency to develop entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities,in comparison to the history of United States entrepreneurship education,which has played an important role in the development of its socio-economic development.With a systematic study of the Sino-US entrepreneurship education among colleges and universities,the author has learned the current situation and advantages of U.S entrepreneurial education,including cultural background,commitment,curriculum,staff,evaluation system,and so forth.It will contribute to change the situation of professionals targeting in domestic education,and vigorously push forward the innovation and entrepreneurship education based on the overall quality of students.In addition,it will help to develop a new concept of entrepreneurship education in China,hence,perfect operational mechanism of entrepreneurship education and seek better ways to implement entrepreneurship education.To conclude,it will surely contribute to the ones shifting from knowledge-based universities to entrepreneurial universities in our country.
