The college students today are generation growing up with the development of media.They can sense the influence brought from the development and innovation.Meanwhile,the media abilities of cognition,usage,evaluation and analysis affect directly how they meet the world and their values.College students form a special group,they are now at the important period of their whole life.Under the background of social development,only grapping opportunities and keeping innovating can bring college students adaption to the new tendency and further development.Based on this condition,this essay conducts investigation on the present situation and the countermeasures of college students’ media literacy from the perspective of ideological and political education,and proposes some suggestions both for theory and practice.This essay is divided into 5 parts.Part one introduces the background,purpose,the significance of topic selection,research conditions at home and abroad and the research method and process,and also the research methods,process and limitations.Part two includes the definition of media,media literacy as well as the mutual effect,feasibility and necessity of ideological and political education and media literacy to the college students,and the relations between them.Part three is the empirical study of college students’ media literacy condition.Mainly demonstrates the significance,meaning and process of the empirical study,and through the questionnaire survey of college students,studies the status quo of media literacy of college students.Part four is the reason research of college students’ media literacy basing on the empirical results,respectively from three aspects of society,education,and self.Part five is based on the reasons,giving suggestions to strengthen college students’ media literacy on the view of ideological and political education,respectively from three aspects of education path selection,design education content and education system construction.
