Research Of Vocational Education Development In Jiuquan City

Jiuquan City is located at thewestern end of Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province,which is as the remote areas in China.Therefore,the development of vocational education in Jiuquanis restricted significantly.Ithas profound significance for the development of vocational education in western underdeveloped areasto investigate the development of regional vocational education and topropose the solution with pertinence,which will also promote the economic and social construction in Jiuquan.At present,the first 100 MW class wind power generation base and the first MW class photovoltaic power generation base of China have been built in Jiuquan,which promotes the Jiuquan regional economic and social development.Meanwhile,the demand of skilled technical personnel for renewable energy industry is increasing significantly.The vocational education is training skilled personnel.For the local vocational education in Jiuquan,to serve the regional economic and social development,the primary goal is to find the problems.The paper finds out the common problem or specific problems of the insufficient understanding,the imperfect system and regulations for the vocational education in Jiuquan.The main reasons of these issues are the system problems like shortage of local government management and investment.In addition,the mechanism problems like imperfect incentive system for teachers and short at overall planning in curriculum.Therefore,to promote the development of vocational education in Jiuquan,It is necessary to take actions like expanding the sources of finance,optimizing and integrating educational resources,strengthening local public administration,and to loose the control of decision making right of vocational education institutes to make the system and regulation better.These actions should be based on renewing the ideas of vocational education and creating good atmosphere being benefit to the development of vocational education like innovating the way of personnel training.In addition,to solid the foundation of vocational education,it should be enhancing the construction of teaching group,deepening the cooperation between institutes and enterprise,adjusting specialty structure,increasing government investment and stabilizing enrollment amount to renew the system and regulation.Based on the research of vocational education both in China and abroad,considering the status of vocational education in Jiuquan City,this paper discussedand analyzed the existing issues and their causes of vocational education in Jiuquan by public management theory,using the methodologies of observation,survey,literature research and summarization.Furthermore,the paper put forward the constructive suggestions for the reference of the local agreement and the education administration,to serve the regional economic and social development in Jiuquan better.
