Research On Development Strategies Of International Students Education In Henan Colleges And Universities

With the development of international higher education,our country starts paying more attention to international students.More and more foreign students come to China to study.The number of international students has increased significantly in Henan colleges and universities.However,the rapid increasing rate also causes some problems on international students management.In order to accommodate and guide the healthy and stable education development for international students in Henan colleges and universities,it is necessary to modify and improve the management policies and development strategies.Based on literature analyses and primary data,this paper examines the number,the original country,education level,and financial aid resource of international students.This paper finds the restrictions on international students development by using survey to international students in Henan Polytechnic University regarding the satisfaction of education and interviewing the relevant management.Plight: the source of student;the training method;the issue on faculty and management.Restrictions:geographical location;inconvenient traffic;low level of economic development,low level of opening,inadequate education,less attractiveness.To solve these problems,this paper puts forward strategies from three aspects,i.e.the optimization of the structure of source of students,improvement on education quality,and insurance management and service.Specifically,those strategies are,first,improving the system of scholarship,introducing high quality resources,and expanding international education brand;second,encouraging students to participate in the teaching quality evaluation,introducing high quality resources,and expanding education type;third,setting up a special advisory department,promoting the reform of management role,and improving the quality of logistics services.
