Research On The Application Of Narrative Therapy In The Service Of Social Workers In The Empty Nest

With the accelerated process of urbanization in China,people's living standards and medical service level is also improving,the average life expectancy is constantly elongated.As the miniaturization of the family continues to deepen,many children in the city separated from the elderly after the formation of new families.As becoming older and with the weakening of social adaptability,empty nest elderly have faced a variety of problems while living alone,such as emotional anxiety,loneliness,lack of emotional support and interpersonal communication.They do need professional help.Narrative therapy does not regard people as the key to the problem.Instead,Narrative therapy help people get rid of the problem through the "story narrative" "external problem" from "thin to thick" and other methods,making them more active and more positive.As a professional social work method,Narrative therapy provides a new way of thinking for the localization of social work.At present,in China,the cases of narrative therapy applied to empty nest elderly medical services are very few cases.Narrative therapy theory is still in its infancy in China,and the researches about it in the field of social work and scientific research and practical applications are few.This study adopts the method of case study,obtaining a large amount of research data through face-to-face interviews with the elderly,to understand and analyze the problems and needs of the elderly in the community.And then it adopts narrative therapy to solve the practical problems of the elderly gradually.And then it assess the effect of intervention through the interview again,basically completing the reconstruction of the story of the elderly life,prompting them to hold a new attitude and take new ways to face the future.Its purpose is to make the elderly have better social adaptability,better quality of life and a better attitude towards life.In order to let the empty-nest elderly to achieve this goal,the author draws on Hong Kong,Taiwan and foreign experience in the application of narrative treatment practice and strive from a unique perspective to support the elderly's life in their later years.And then the writer combines the methods and techniques of this mode and finally sum up and reflect the effects of this method.Through repeating and deconstruction of the stories of the elderly,the writer tends to guide more elderly people to enjoy a positive life.
