A variety of Teaching Materials Writing are Advocated in the Book of Mathematics Curricular Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 edition)an.The auther made a study about the usage characters of Spiral Principle in middle school textbook.Is there any enlightenment for us? Three research questions are included here;make several contrastive studies of Spiral Principle in middle school textbook;the usage characters of Spiral Principle in different aspects in different middle school textbook;based on the usage characters of function Spiral Principle in middle school textbook,the author are dying to offer the teachers and editors some suggestions.The constrtive research of Spiral Principle usage in these two textbooks can enrich the study of Spiral Principle and develop usage of Spiral Principle.The author made a contrastive research on the number,interval and content of Spiral Principle by adopting the methods of literature,content analysis and constrative analysis in the middle school textbooks PEP edition and BSD edition.Research findings:The number of Spiral Principle Beijing Normal University Edition is one more than people's Education Edition and spiral interval is also longer than the latter.According to middle school cognitive rules,the applying of this two editions of function are increasing in the breadth,depth and content.Meanwhile,PEP edition textbook pay attention on the coherent among Spiral principle,but some of Spiral principle interval is too small while BSD edition also focus on the link between knowledge,but several shortcoming exist in it,such as some of Spiral principle interval is too large,some of them are nothing but repeated and the system of knowledge is upset.PEP edition pay much attention on the using of math mind.The inner circumstance account for much in samples and practices while life circumstances and other subject circumstance are seldom used in both of this editions.Based on this,here are the advice for math teachers:the teachers should expand some other knowledge and find some links on the topic;learn from others strong points to offset one's weakness when we are preparing lessons.In addition,we ought to adhere the principle of difference when we are writing teaching materials.The shortcomings are as follows.For one thing,there is not so many researches that the author can learn from,caused lack of scientific in contrastive researches aspects.For another,the author only made a contrastive research on Spiral Principle of function in middle school textbook,not including Statistics and Probability and Space Geometry,which can be studied in the future.
