Sequence is an important content of high school teaching and students' learning,this part of knowledge is most learning carrier of mathematical thinking method.Because of its abundant realistic background,can be widely applied to real life,so,the sequence has been one of the important part of college entrance examination test.Therefore,investigating students level of understanding of the series research is very important,not only can help students find learning problems in series,and can provide certain help for middle school teachers' teaching.High school students' understanding of the concept of sequence level? In front of the general term formula of series,series of n items,and,what are the problems students?What are the problems in sequence synthesis problem for middle school students,at what level? These are all high school teachers are needed to solve the problem.This research adopts the SOLO taxonomy,on the basis of a large number of literature,writing the test sequence knowledge questionnaire,to three different schools,a total of 150 students were tested,and by using Excel software entry,the results for the overall management and analysis.The results of the study are as follows:(1)the students are more likely to accept series conventional representations,in sequence,the definition of the relationship with the collection and the representation of a sequence of students understand the overall level is low,only a few students on the correlation structure level;In general,boys than girls in the understanding of the concept of sequence level is poorer.(2)high school students on a regular and the general term of relatively simple sequence and sequence of the first n items,and is recognized in a large extent,the sequence of general term formula of African arithmetic and geometric sequence and the first n and formulas,and proved function arithmetic and geometric series,series of equations thought understanding level there is a big difficulty.The whole,the understanding level of the boys than girls.(3)the whole,high school students on comprehensive series problems in the former structure level,only a small part of the students can understand the sequence of ideas.This shows that students not only to the knowledge on the basis of sequence there is a big problem,but there are also many problems on the students' knowledge reserves.(4)from the table all that,the level of male and female students' understanding of sequence and no much difference.The students are in the sequence on the most basic knowledge of a deeper knowledge of students can't understand very well,this ZuBiealso has a lot to do with students,students are mostly ethnic minorities,in mathematics is a subject studying national survival in certain difficulties.
