With the development of economic globalization,Chinese higher education is facing more and more fierce international competition environment.The economic globalization and internationalization of higher education have put forward higher requirements on talents cultivation to colleges and universities.English-only instruction as a new try of teaching reform,as an effective way to cultivate high-quality talents with international competitiveness,has significant function and meaning for promoting the construction of world-class universities and disciplines.As the English-only instruction has been adopted by more and more colleges and universities,the quality evaluation problem of the English-only instruction also has gradually been paid more attention.First of all,this study designs curriculum evaluation index system based on the CIPP model,dividing the curriculum evaluation index system into context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation and product evaluation.Secondly,this study establishes the index weight by using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)based on the construction of curriculum evaluation index system.Next,this study makes a survey through questionnaires.According to research results,this study analysis the problems that exist in English-only curriculum teaching process.At last,this paper points out the solutions to improve the teaching quality: set clear goals of curriculum,cultivate students' emphasis enthusiasm on English-only curriculum,strengthen the construction of the faculty team,improve construction of curriculum resources,and optimize the curriculum evaluation mechanism.
