The arrangement of curriculum schedules is an integral aspect of academic administration as it is the basis for teaching operations.However,the process of arranging curriculum schedules is complicated because the limited resources.A class usually involves five main resources: teacher,classroom,course,class,and time.These resources are becoming particularly limitedflowing the expending of the education.As a result,the efficiency of arranging curriculums has become a major issue for institutions of higher education.The optimal or sub-optimal solution will be found,by combining the careful considerations and the scientific researchs.Using data from current situations in universities and colleges,the different course scheduling theories and curriculum arrangement principles are studied.The analysis of constraint conditions and limited factors produces two categories: soft constraints and hard constraints.From this analysis,a constrained multi-objective mathematical model and its optimization method are established.The mathematical model based linear programming theoryis built.according to the actual needs of the course scheduling.With the limited resources,it is necessary to consider the relationship between the five main components,the hole in the course schedule should be minimal in the objective function while these constraints are satisfied The model is built in the Xpress-MP platform using the Mosel programming language.Optimization results showthat the modelhas the ability to find the best results under different options andthe modelhasthe advantages of fast speedand effective resource usage.
