With the continuous progress of the social development,rapid increase in people's living standards of sports have become increasingly demanding.In track and field teaching in the current sports,the traditional form of the pursuit of innovation,novelty,unique psychological needs of the sport.More and more students will look to emerging.Fashion,sports easily,and too high and prone to fatigue of the physical demands of the athletics,not easy to arouse students' interest in learning,began to conflict in the University track and field option class.In recent years,colleges and universities in order to cater to the students' interest in learning,cultivate the unique personality of the students,the club teaching mode.The teaching mode of the club refers to pay attention to the cultivation of students' interest in sports,improve the students ability of physical education as the guiding ideology,the students according to their actual situation and their own interests,freedom choose a class project,master 1-2 in line with their own conditions and facilitate future exercise techniques and methods during the period of school,to lay the foundation for lifelong physical education,teaching mode with the form of club organized sports class.Through using the method of literature,questionnaire,expert interviews,logical analysis,field investigation method and other research methods to set up public sports elective course in Colleges and universities of Guangdong province were investigated,respectively,from the teaching content,teaching organization,teaching methods and means,teaching level,teaching conditions,seven aspects training and course management and analysis,draw the following conclusions:1.colleges and universities in the teaching content of the track and field class obsolete,teaching form a single,teaching facilities aging,not enough attention to the school,the teaching method and means has been changed,the curriculum management to the exam oriented education,teaching content of the exam,no choice and show more opportunities for students.2.The teaching content teaching mode of the 2 Club variety,various forms of teaching organization,course management democratization,flexibility,competition forms,evaluation standard is more humane,and track and field elective courses teaching in universities,there are very high.3.The club teaching mode of track and field elective course teaching in Colleges and universities is the all-round development of College Students' physical and mental requirements of the social development needs of all-round talents,the development trend of PE Teaching in Colleges and universities.University students required to change the traditional teaching mode existing,and are willing to accept the new teaching model of the club,the club teaching mode in the use of track and field elective course teaching is necessary and feasible.According to the above research results,put forward the following proposals: cross use of club teaching mode and traditional teaching mode,physical education teachers to enhance professional quality,improve the importance of the leadership of the school athletics,track and field to increase the project investment.
