Situational teaching shows the greatly intuitive,interesting,intellectual and moral features.In the context of the new curriculum reform,English situational teaching mode is more highly supported and popularized.Because there lies the weak foundation of vocational students and vocational school teaching environment,as well as differences among the psychology of individual students and teachers' teaching levels,I find it much more significance and practical value to carry out the vocational characteristics audio-lingual-visual situational teaching in class.The author I consciously create a large number of vivid language learning scenes to arouse students' emotional resonance and enhance their interest in English learning,so as to help students improve the students' ability to use language and humanistic quality.What's more,it also can help the teachers promote the skills of teaching practice and innovation in English audio-lingual class.Consulting a large number of related literature,in this paper the author I first explore for the history and status of English audio-lingual-visual teaching and situational teaching mode researches,which are from the domestic and foreign educators and teachers.According to my years of work experience of English teaching in the vocational school.Basing on all of these,the author I put forward my own experimental research topic: Study on English audio-lingual-visual situational teaching in vocational school----Taking "Action English" Teaching as Example.This research will be guided by Constructivist Theory,the Second Language Acquisition Theory,the Situational Awareness and Situational Learning Theory and the Humanistic Theory.The author I select the vocational English audio-lingual-visual situational teaching as the research content,in particular,I select "Action English" as the audio-lingual-visual teaching material.During the process of the research,I mainly use the literature research method,the experimental research method,the questionnaire survey method and the observation method,and I set up five step-by-step teaching processes or implementation strategies based on "topic selection-situational setting--situational creation--situational assessment--situational transference".In order to verify the effectiveness of the strategies of " Action English " audio-visual teaching,I conduct a single group longitudinal contrast experiment and two groups of horizontal contrast experiment by selecting the experimental class and the control class.Based on analyzing the data of questionnaire and teaching experiment,as well as having the analysis of typical cases,the author I summed up a series of suggestions on the vocational English audio-lingual-visual situational teaching.At last,the author I made the reflection and prospect from the experimental conclusion.
