In June 2015,policy of "rural teacher support program(2015-2020)" was issued by the State Council,which explicitly mentioned the gap narrowing between urban and rural teachers and priority should be given to promote the balanced development of education.Currently,problems of education have been focused in the society,while gap in education quality results from the different qualities of teachers as they can be seen as the primary source of education.Hence,improvement of education quality,narrowing the gap between urban and rural educational level as well as promoting the plan of educational fundamental development will largely depend on strengthening construction of teaching staff in the rural areas and enhance their quality.On-the-job training for rural teachers is one of the effective ways to upgrade their professional quality,and how powerful the on-the-job training is will be determined by its effect.The thesis aims to make a research in terms of how to guarantee the effects of the on-job-training.By analyzing the current situation of on-job-training for rural teachers,it has been found that the on-job-training mechanism still exist some problems and cannot meet the requirements of the development of rural teachers although it has achieved partially,such as insufficient financial support,limitation of training environment,lack of incentives,incomplete training system,unreasonable allocation of training resources etc.Based on the current study,this thesis opens up a new exploration for on-job-training system for rural teachers and proposals are developed from the perspective of macro economy,ideology,policy,micro incentive mechanism,teachers supplement mechanism and operation mechanism,in order to better and more effectively meet the practical requirements of the on-job-training for rural teachers,shape the model for teachers with Chinese rural features,build up a powerful team of rural teachers,as well as promote the balanced development of urban and rural education.
