Research On The Reconstruction Of Social Support Network Of The "Elderly Immigrants"

"problem-oriented" which is based on reality and linked with the major practical issues is the most distinctive academic style of Chinese sociology.The growth of the "elderly immigrants" is not only the result of the diversified development of Chinese society,but also reflects the characteristics of family miniaturization and floating population migration,as well as the obvious process of its own social support network breaking.The social support network fracture problem of "elderly immigrants" is one of the important direction of sociological research.This paper attempts to deduce the process of breakage of the social support network of the "elderly immigrants" with the dynamic development perspective based on constructivism theory,through the deep interview and spot investigation which was carried out in L and Y communities of Tianjin.Based on investigation above,we attempt to analyze the factors that affect the social support network construction of the "elderly immigrants" and the side consequences caused by the breakage of the social support network.and we try to find out the possibility and feasibility of the reconstruction of the social support network in their new residence.This paper includes six chapters.The first chapter introduces the origin of the study,the purpose and significance of this study,and the research methods.Based on the previous studies,the paper clarifies the theoretical principle and analytical frame work,and defines related important concepts.The second chapter analyzes the breakage of the "elderly immigrants" social support network in four levels which is support subject,support content,support forms and support system in the dynamic process from the original to regeneration.The third chapter shows a series of negative effects,such as economic life distress,personal space compression and emotional wandering due to the breakage of social network.Based on the above problems,the fourth chapter analysis the factors which affect of "elderly immigrants" social support network reconstruction from the subjective and objective.The fifth chapter introduce the suggestion of the social support network reconstruction of the "elderly immigrants".According to the status of the social support network of the "elderly immigrants",this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to reconstruct the social support network of "elderly immigrants" from the object reflexion,the endogenous selection and subjective and objective link.The last chapter summarizes the research situation,expounds the main conclusion,and points out the possible innovation and some shortcomings of this paper.
