As the hope of a nation,Children are the important resource of social sustainable development and the future of human beings.Childhood is a critical period in one's life.Since the reform and opening-up,the social economic aggregate overtaking Japan ranked second in the world in 2015.But due to our country's special national conditions,there are still a large proportion of people facing poverty.The children living in poor families need more social attention and support,and especially their psychological problems.At present,our country's policies on assistance to poor families are clear,and achieve a better effect.Schools pay much attention to poor family children and help children with economic and material funding every year.Studies have shown that compared to children from ordinary families,many poor children have the sense of inferiority more or less during the school years,and its main reflections are the phenomenon of studying hard and tire of study,holding resistance to teachers and students,poor interpersonal relationship,having a passive mood to participate in the school and the society support activities,low self-evaluation,inner fear,unsociable and such eccentric behaviors.These bad psychological status gradually appeared more severely which leading to their poor adaptive capacity,poor self adjusting ability,low competitiveness in labor market and low income in the future.And then it results in the bad cycle of poverty of children and their families.During the work time,the author found that there is not enough attention paid to the self-abasement problems of the children from poor families among most of the schools,especially in primary and secondary schools.And the solutions to this problem,mainly stay in educational levels.Which mainly depend on teacher's education,with the help of psychological counseling,and lack the ability to discover and solve the problems.The children can not get attention,however,they are misunderstood as "disobedient children" by teachers who are not only affect their physical and mental health and their studies,but also is much related to the security and stability of the school and the harmonious development of the society in the future.Social Work,as a kind of public welfare establishments,aims to help others and solve the social problems.“Helping human to help oneself” and “Equal treatment”,are always the service ideas of Social Work.From the perspective of Social Work,based on its specialized characteristics,it is necessary to think about and practice how to solve the self-abasement problems of the children from poor families.This paper chooses the two students in the rural primary school as the research object.The author tries to use the professional ideas and methods of Social Work,start from the psychological self-cognition of the subject and adopt the individual cases,in order tointegrate all kinds of available resources to help the poor families children establish self-confidence and get rid of self-abasement.The children from the poor families should understand themselves in a correct and rational way,grow up actively and finally be able to engage in the school and life well.
