With the rapid increasing of social economy, there are multiple social classes, among which low-income family members are at the bottom. The low-income family in the community refers to the family in which average monthly income of each person is below minimum living security standard and benefits from minimum living security system from the nation. Since the system was set up, numerous low-income families have been physically assisted in time. However, except for the economic and physical assistance, the family members seldom accept the psychological help. With the increasing development of society, low-income family members who take up a large part in society have suffered from inferiority, particularly the teenagers in the families due to unfavorable emotion input from parents, redundancy of low-income security application, social pressure and low psychological quality. For teenagers, they gradually showed several psychological problems, including resistance in assistance policies of community, negative self-evaluation, oddness, social withdrawal, anxiety, fear, depression, etc. And with the rapid social development, those unfavorable psychological problems are spreading, which need to be solved promptly.Although with the development of society, it has not been predicted that the negative problems appear resulting from minimum living security system. Few have focused on the problems but other members in the families which have been assisted and the social workers in the relevant communities. However, as the long-term beneficiary of minimum living security system, other family members are satisfied with the current situation and are not able to share the psychological problems and changes which the children hold, with no means to handle the problems. As for social workers in community, they are busy in their work with limited time in relieving children’s psychological problems and lack reasonable, scientific methods, which is in short of specialization and promptness. Consequently, in current situation, there is rare affect in dealing with inferiority complex of children of low-income families. As a student majoring in social work, the author intends to employ the concepts and methods of social work in analysis of two practical cases in community. The thesis is explored on the basis of the cognitive psychology, to intervene and reallocate various applicable resources with the aim to assist the children of low-income families to get rid of anxiety, inferiority, to be well-integrated into the society, to get rational cognition and to be actually self-accepted.
