In 2001,the Ministry of Education compiled the "Science Curriculum Standards of Primary School ",and the subject name is changed from "nature" to "science".Since then,the science curriculum has entered into the field of education with a new mission.It not only undertakes the mission of cultivating the scientific literacy of students,but also is the cornerstone of cultivating the innovative talents.In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the new "science" curriculum standard.The nature of science curriculum is changed from the enlightenment course into the basic course.Furthermore,not only the status is as important as language,math and English,but also increased the STEAM education.Science curriculum will become a basic,practical and comprehensive curriculum.However,there are still many problems hindering the development of science curriculum.The thesis is going to find out the problems existing in the implementation of science curriculum,analyzing the influencing factors of these problems and putting forward some corresponding strategies by the investigation of the primary school in Xi'an.This thesis applies the method of observing method,investigating method,and interviewing method to study the implementation of science curriculum.Major findings are summarized as follows:(1)The status of science curriculum in the school is relatively high,and get more attention of the school leaders.(2)The construction of school facilities is relatively perfect,but the utilization rate of equipment is not high.(3)Most of science teachers have good professional qualities.However,there are still some deficiencies in the teaching methods,the use of teaching resources and the construction of subject curriculum system.(4)The students are fond of science curriculum,but they don't know enough about science curriculum.Based on the content of this study,the author analyzes the influencing factors of the science implementation curriculum from three aspects as fellow,the course itself,the school and the outside of the school.Then,the author puts forward the corresponding strategies that can improve the implementation of the school's science curriculum,and provide some reference for the case studies in primary schools.
