Education is the foundation of the school curriculum, curriculum reform has been the core of education reform. Elementary science curriculum was born in China’s new round of curriculum reform, the development of scientific literacy courses to students as the fundamental purpose of science education. After 2001, "the State Council on Basi c Education Reform and Development" was announced, "full-time compulsory education science(grade 3-6) curriculum standards(trial version)" began in the country 38 national experimental zone experiment. Education of Guizhou Province also released the Guizhou Province Department of education promote the views of the implementation of the basic education curriculum reform(Trial), on the stage of compulsory education curriculum and class hour arrangement to make uniform provisions, including primary school science and the total number of hours for 280. So, how about the implementation of elementary school science curriculum in minority areas? What are the factors that affect the development of science education in primary schools? In this study, Qiandongnan prefecture’s primary schools as the object of study, through the questionnaire survey, in-depth observation, interviews and other methods of field research, in order to answer these questions.The study mainly through the field investigation, questionnaire and so on 11 elementary schools in Qiandongnan science curriculum implementation of the basic situation of research, through the analysis of the results of the study, the following conclusions:One, in accordance with the requirements of the primary school to open a week two science classes, but the actual class hours and the number of courses on the table there is a big gap between the number of science courses are more occupied by other courses.Two, scientific literacy of science teachers and professional knowledge level is low, the experimental teaching skills are poor.Third, after Guizhou Province the popularity of laboratory work, the experimental instrument of use, in addition to the village primary school, primary schools are in accordance with the requirements of the Guizhou Province small experiment teaching and laboratory management approach(Trial) "construction laboratory and experimental preparation room, equipped with relevant experimental instruments. These problems make the teaching skills of teachers and the level of scientific literacy is not high, the effects of curriculum implementation and implementation effect.Three, in the primary school science teachers at present quality conditions, effects of the content and form of the science textbook for teachers is relatively important. Teachers tend to "Jiangsu" science textbook, "the elephant" version of the textbook is too abstract, enhance the teaching difficulty.Four, students are interested in science class. Students’ attitude towards science class depends on the teacher’s teaching method and teaching attitude.Five, the understanding and support of parents is not enough, only a few parents can effectively cooperate with the work of teachers and schools.
