The study survey are from H University student experience survey(SERU)in 2013,exploring the different family cultural background of H University students(the first generation college students and the non-first generation college students)for learning input and outcome situation,the relationship between family cultural background(whether it is the first generation college students),learning input and outcome.The study found that the H University of first generation college students in sex with boys mostly,because parents' education level is not high,many parents are workers and farmers,more low-income,cultural capital and social capital in a relatively weak state.In the study subjects,the first generation college students study more in engineering,the humanities and social sciences is secondly.Compared to non-first generation college students,as a student cadre is relatively lower than the first generation college students.In the learning input,the research found that the first generation college students and non-first generation college students in the learning challenges,teacher-student interaction,class participation,negative learning behaviors were significantly different,the first generation students in the curriculum requirements,academic standards,curriculum development and creative aspects in a relatively weak state.Compared with the non-first generation college students,the first generation college students in the course of participation,interaction between teachers and students were lower than the non-first generation students.In the learning outcome,the first generation college students' GPA were higher than the non first generation college students,there are significant differences;from the key ability of growth,the first generation and the non-first generation college students in the analysis of critical thinking ability growth and self cognition to understand ability was not different.But in the quantitative analysis of capacity growth has a significant difference.Further regression analysis showed that comparing with the non-first generation college students,the first generation college students on learning challenges,teacher-student interaction,and course participation were negative.The Students'family cultural background will significantly affect the academic performance of students,had a positive effect to GPA.The Students' family cultural background had no significant effect on analysis of critical thinking ability,quantitative analysis ability and self cognition and understanding ability.At the same time the family cultural background through learning challenges,teacher-student interaction and class participation affected grade point average points(GPA),learning challenges,teacher-student interaction and class participation played a mediating role between College Students' family cultural background and academic achievement of students.The results of this study show that college students' family cultural background through the learning challenges,teacher-student interaction,class participation affect the academic achievement.It indicates that family cultural background has an important influence to the college students' learning experience;we must pay attention to the family cultural background and should focus on the first generation students.The first generation college students' lack of social resources,economic resources,cultural resources,we should provide more assistance,and offer the economic support to the first generation students,reducing the first generation college students life stress,helping the first generation students quickly adapt to college life,thus improving the learning effect.
