Higher vocational education is an indispensable part of the higher education system in our country.With the rapid development of education,the issue of education fairness in higher vocational education has also drawn much attention.In this study,the students in public service vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province as the research object,the status of student families in vocational colleges in-depth study.Based on the theories of social stratification,cultural capital and social capital,this study uses SPSS19.0 as a measuring tool and uses self-made questionnaire of household capital as a measurement tool to extract the sample source,gender,high school type,family annual income,Parents' education,parents' occupation,parents' expectation of education,expectation of self-education,employment confidence and other index variables.By comprehensively using interviews and literature analysis,the paper makes a deep study of the students in four grades of different grades in Jiangsu Province Survey,and statistical analysis of the survey data and empirical research,the main findings are as follows:Economic capital: families of higher vocational students are mostly in the lower middle class;family income affects the type of high school in which their children attend.Eultural capital: parents generally have a low level of education;most of their children attend high school or vocational high school.The academic qualifications of their parents influence the type of high school their children enrolled in.Parents are more concerned about their children's entry into the university than those who entered college Pre-learning situations,parental education and the degree of concern for children's learning.Social capital: the type of occupation of parents affects their parents' educational expectations and self-education expectations.The occupational status of their parents significantly affects their employment prospects and employment confidence.In order to reduce the negative influence of family capital and promote the fairrealization of higher education,this paper puts forward four suggestions from the four main bodies of government,school,family and students: the government should eliminate institutional barriers and break down intergenerational mobility.Schools: students who are concerned about disadvantaged families should be taught in accordance with their aptitudes;Families: to improve the ability of parents to teach and to promote cooperation between families and schools;Students: to adjust mentality and establish correct motivation for achievement.
