With the development of our society and the increasing concern about the quality of education,the teachers,who are the front-line executives of educational reform,have become the focus of attention.Teachers,as professionals in education,should have the corresponding professional attitude,professional knowledge and skills,and keep pace with the times and continue to develop their own profession.The head teachers,as the backbone of the teachers' group,have become the focus of more attention.Since the concept of "head teacher professionalization" came into being in 2002,the professional development of head teacher has become an important topic of educational scholars.Head teachers not only need professional development in teaching as ordinary teachers,but also need to have relevant professional education knowledge and professional skills,so as to better help the development of the students.Basic education in rural areas and towns are relatively weak.The school leadership,teacher's idea is relatively backward,and the work of the head teacher is more complex.Therefore,in the vast rural schools,the head teacher professional development is worthy of our in-depth study.As a nine year consistent rural school,the span of the head teacher is from primary school to junior high school,so the professional development of the head teacher is more important,but it is also full of more possibilities and development.In the introduction part of this paper,it expounds the significance of the topic,research methods,research difficulties and innovation,and the core concepts,such as teacher professional development are defined.It also analysis and evaluation of the research in this field at home and abroad for teachers' professional development,in-depth research has laid the foundation to carry out.At the same time,based on the theory of teacher professionalization,the theory of continuing education and the theory of human resource development and management,it provides theoretical guidance for the study.In the implementation phase of the investigation,this article uses the literature method,questionnaire survey and interviews to study the work status of the head teachers in Wujiang District of Wanping school.Then based on the analysis of survey information and data,we know the situation and degree of rural teachers' professional development,and find t the rural teachers' professional development situation and the existing problems.Finally,aiming at these problems and put forward corresponding solutions,its purpose is to promote the role of rural school teachers' professional development,for school administrators and local education departments put forward practical suggestions,so as to solve the practical needs of rural teacher professional development in primary and middle school.Through investigation and study,we found that the teachers' professional development in Wujiang District Wanping School has the following problems: head teachers lack professional ideal;lack of professional knowledge and professional skills;head teacher appointment form and training mechanism are not perfect;the teachers' evaluation is not scientific.In this regard,the article also puts forward the corresponding improvement measures: department of education,school leaders and head teachers themselves should establish rural head teachers' professional development consciousness;education departments and schools should establish rural head teacher professional development system;rural head teachers should strive to improve their professional ability.
