Empathy refers to the ability of an individual to perceive and understand others' psychological experience in situations in a specific situation,so as to produce similar emotional experience and corresponding behavioral responses to others.Although children's cognitive ability,emotional control ability and expressive ability are limited,everyone wants others to understand themselves,and children also have empathy needs.When the parents learn to use a child's heart to listen to and walk into the mind world of children,they can truly appreciate the rich emotional feelings of the children.Children have trust and attachment to their parents,and they will be more willing to share their own joy and sorrow with their parents.Studies have shown that children have strong curiosity and imitation power.They form their own unique emotional responses to others mainly through observation and imitation of their parents.It can be seen from the above that the high empathy of children's parents is not only conducive to the establishment of a healthy parent-child relationship,but also to promote the development of the empathy of children.The purpose of this study is to explore the status and influencing factors of empathy of children's parents,so as to put forward some feasible suggestions on how to improve the empathy of children's parents.In this study 700 parents of preschool children were selected from 4 kindergartens in Shijiazhuang as the research object,the data using statistical software SPSS17.0 analysis,descriptive analysis,various statistical methods such as correlation analysis and regression analysis,discussed and analyzed the present situation and influence factors of parents' empathy ability.The results of this study are as follows:The overall empathy level of children's parents is high.In the child's gender,Whether a child is single or not,the kid's age class,parents' age,parents' cultural level,parents' family structure,parents' economic income,parents occupation these variables,parents' empathy ability are not significantly different,only some variables in the different dimensions of fantasy.However,there are significant differences in empathy between parents' gender variables.From the score of empathy,empathy for mothers of young children issignificantly higher than that of the father of young children;from four dimensions,except in the dimension of choice of viewpoint,the father of young children scores significantly higher than the children of mothers,mothers of young children in other three dimension of empathy,fantasy and personal grief score higher than that of children's father,especially in the dimension of personal sadness.The empathy parents of young children in this study is mainly influenced by self-esteem and personality two factors,correlation analysis results show that there is a significant positive correlation between parental empathy and self-esteem,neuroticism,and a significant negative correlation with mental quality,but not significantly related to introversion and extroversion.Multiple regression analysis results show that self-esteem and neuroticism positively predict empathy,and psychoticism has a negative predictive effect on empathy.
