The Study On Currentsituapion And Optimization Strategy Of The University Tennis Options Course In Western Guangdong

In recent years,the tennis developed rapidly in China.On the one hand,it stimulates the enthusiasm of the students to play tennis and has been gradually accepted and popularized by university students.On the other hand,the increasing participant leads to lack of teaching resources.Students' enthusiasm in tenniscontrast unfavorably with the shortage of tennis teaching resources in university.This promoted the study on optimization and reform of university tennis course.This study uses Document-data method,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and etc.The study analyzes the current situation of the universities tennis course development in western Guangdongthrough literature analysis and data statistics.Meanwhile,it analyses the influence factors and existing problems,and puts forward feasible optimization strategy.The results of the study show that there are a lot of problems in the tennis elective course in the universities of western Guangdong.Firstly,the shortage of tennis court in the universityof western Guangdong becomes serious.There are only 28 tennis courts.That means the average is less than 6 for each university.And it distributes unevenly.Although each university has tennis courts,only Guangdong ocean university can meet the demand of tennis teaching.The situation of tennis site facilityin the other universities is more serious,and all of the tennis courts make of cement hardstand.For the student satisfaction,it is only 7.19%,and 47.43%dissatisfaction.Secondly,the teacher strength is weak.There are only 20 teachers who is responsible for the tennis teachingin 5 colleges and universities of western Guangdong.And only six of them are tennis professional teachers.The number and the professional level isobviously insufficient This will influence the development of university tennis course in western Guangdong.Thirdly,the course offering is imperfect.There are only 2 periods per week for tennis teaching in university of western Guangdong.Two universities open tennis course for one semester,another two open for two semesters,and only one university open for three semesters.Less class hour and dispersedteaching organization forminfluence the advance of teaching quality.Compared with the developed areas,there is a certain gap in the development of of university tennis teaching in western Guangdong.We can improve this situation from the following several aspects:firstly,improve the school attention degree and strengthen the construction of facilities;secondly,strengthen the training and introduction of the tennis teachers team;Thirdly,improve the course offering of tennis options,increase the periods of tennis course,and improve teaching organization form.Fourthly,strengthen the construction of campus tennis culture,carry out various forms of tennis competitions,and increase the publicity of tennis sports.
