With the reform of new courses,it is important to pursue effective teaching in history class.However,low efficiency in high school history class still exists.The paper takes Zhengzhou S Middle School as an example.It reflects current problems in high school history class,analyzes the reasons and gives some strategies by the way of questionnaire survey and interview.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part is introduction,simply discussing background,aim and meaning of background,study methods,concept definition,theoretical basis and literature review.The second part introduces existing problems of high school history class in Zhengzhou S Middle School by analyzing questionnaire survey and interview.The problems lie in two aspects of teachers and students.Teachers are not adequately prepare before class and do not effectively carry out collective lesson preparation,so they can't understand the needs of students and lacks the elaborate design for all teaching aspects.There are also problems in classroom implementation.For example,the teaching methods are relatively simple and the classroom atmosphere is not very good,which cannot reflect the characteristics of history subject.In terms of students evaluation,teachers' evaluation of students is relatively simple.The main problems of students are the interest is not strong enough,the participation is inadequate and the method is not appropriate.The third part analyzes reasons of existing problems of high school history class in Zhengzhou S Middle School from four aspects,including society,school,teachers and students.Traditional cognition has influenced people's understanding of history.The ideas of “History Uselessness”and “History is Minor Subject”make people generally think that history does not matter.Under the influence of the social environment,Zhengzhou S Middle School don't pay enough attention to the history subject,which shows in unreasonable curriculum arrangement,inadequate teaching staff and few professional training opportunities.As for teachers,their professional quality is not perfect enough,the understand of the effective teaching is not clear and the teaching activities are quite arbitrary.The main role of students in the classroom cannot be effectively played out.Students are not aware of the status and lack methods of playing the main role.The fourth part refers to strategies of improving effective high school history teaching.The teachers are supposed to enhance abilities of teaching preparation,class teaching,after-class evaluation.As for students,they need to play a dominant role during the process of learning,cultivate interest of learning history,take an active part in class activities and master effective learning methods.
