Since the reform and opening to the outside world,the scale of enrollment in education has been expanding,and the number and proportion of students admitted to the college entrance examination have been increasing year by year,the expected result of continuing enrollment expansion in higher education should be the increasing degree of social openness and the continuous enhancement of social intergenerational mobility.However,relevant findings indicate that,with the gradual expansion of enrollment scale in each stage,the intergenerational mobility of the occupational class has shown a downward trend,which has a negative impact on the realization of education equity and social stability.It has great theoretical and practical significance to analyze the changing trend of intergenerational mobility and the mechanism of the influence of educational expansion on the changing trend of occupational class in China.On the theoretical level,this paper examines the mechanism of the influence of educational expansion on intergenerational mobility based on the domestic survey data in China,and further improves the research system of social mobility.On the practical level,on the one hand,this study will help to understand the openness of society,on the other hand,this study will help to identify influence mechanism of the expansion of education,which has very important reference value to promoting sustainable development and building a socialist harmonious society.Based on the domestic and foreign scholars' research on the mobility of occupational class,this paper maked use of the data from the China General Social Survey(CGSS)in 2013,multinomial Logit regression model was adopted to model and analyze the factors that influenced the class mobility;the UNIDIFF model was used to study the correlation degree of OD,OE and ED;by means of Breen decomposition analysis,the relative importance of three mechanisms of educational expansion influencing the trend of OD association was studied;and finally the robustness of the empirical results was analyzed and demonstrated.Through the analysis of the sample data,we can find,with the continuous development of society and education in each stage of the gradual implementation of the policy of educational expansion,educational structure and occupational class structure has been gradually optimized,the proportion of the residents with higher educational background and the proportion of the higher occupational class showed a rising trend in different degrees;in many factors affecting intergenerational mobility,the level of education is a significant variable,and higher education helps alleviate the problem of class solidification,and then promotes the upward mobility of the intergenerational occupational class;in addition,in the background of educational expansion,whether in the parents' occupational class as the social origin,or in the parents' level of education as the social origin,carrying on the analysis to the changing trend of the social mobility showed that,there was a downward trend in social mobility in China;at the same time,the Breen decomposition analysis showed that the inequality effect of education explained to some extent the gradually decline of social mobility.The innovations of this paper are mainly embodied in the following aspects,from the perspective of educational expansion,this paper attempts to measure the changing trend of intergenerational mobility of occupational class in China,so as to identify the change of social mobility more accurately;at the same time,the effect of educational expansion impacting on the social mobility of intergenerational class is decomposed into the effect of class direct transfer,the effect of education inequality and the effect of class returns in education,and this paper further studies of the relative importance of these three mechanisms;furthermore,in addition to the parents' occupational class as the social origin analysis to the social mobility,this paper broadens the view of the social origin,the parents' education level as the social origin analysis,and which further improves the empirical research.The inadequacy of this article is reflected in the following aspect,the factors affecting the intergenerational mobility of the occupational class have not been fully accounted for.When searching for the factors that affect the intergenerational mobility of the occupational class,as the missing data in the survey data,each index will be retained,which will lead to a significant decrease in the final sample size.Therefore,considering the relationship between the number of samples and the influence factors,we select five variables,namely,education level,gender,type of residence,nation and political status.
