With the continuous development of education in our country,more and more students enjoy better educational resources than ever before.However,students truancy behavior,which is a serious waste for educational resources,has become a normal.At present,university administrator's solutions have been difficult to really play a role.So the author takes the truant students as the object of study,and discusses the new strategy to solve the problem of truancy from the perspective of social work.Firstly,the author reviews the related researches and finds that student's cognition is the main factor leading to truancy.And then,through the interview and analysis of typical cases,this research focuses on the cognitive factors that lead to the student truancy,and makes further research and intervention.In this process,the Rational-emotive therapy and the Person-centered therapy have been used to help the case change the cognitive bias and solve his truancy problem.Finally,through the service not only solved the truancy problem of the case,but also helped him to establish a positive concept,and has been achieved the goal of “ Helping People to Help Themselves”.The research and practice show that it is feasible and effective to solve the problem of students' truancy by using the method of social work.
