| Interpersonal interaction is a necessary way for each individual to carry out socialization. For college students, good interpersonal communication can better cope with future study, work and life. However,in real life, not all college students can have a good interpersonal relationship. Some college students are prone to loneliness, anxiety, insomnia and other conditions when facing the confusion and problems in interpersonal communication, and will also bring problems such as fear and avoidance in interpersonal communication.Through random questionnaires, interviews and data analysis,it is found that some college students have cognitive biases in interpersonal communication, which will cause cognitive conflict and then lead to contradictions between the two sides, resulting in interpersonal relationship breakdown, and have negative effects on both physical and mental health of college students. Therefore,to a certain extent,it is extremely necessary to help college students reduce irrational beliefs and correct the cognitive bias in interpersonal communication. In this paper,6 group members were recruited by questionnaire survey and interview. The emotions and behaviors of these 6 group members were greatly affected by the cognitive bias of irrational belief, and they suffered from serious anxiety and insomnia, which affected their own lives. They had irrational belief in interpersonal communication and were in urgent need of correction. Therefore, this paper carries out group practice design and group activities under the comprehensive guidance of ABC theory and dominant perspective theory. In the practice process,it helps them to view themselves comprehensively and as a whole, learn to analyze specific situations, rationally view interpersonal communication needs, update the original cognitive schema of interpersonal communication, establish a rational cognitive system, and promote the change of emotions and behaviors. Then, the group’s intervention process and results were evaluated and reflected.Practice has proved that group work has a certain promoting effect on correcting the cognitive deviation of college students’ interpersonal communication. On the one hand,it can help such college students to conduct emotional counseling and support, and help them have a relatively peaceful attitude towards interpersonal communication. On the other hand,it can avoid the existing cognitive biases to a certain extent, change the perspective of interpersonal communication, and treat themselves, others and interpersonal relationships more rationally. However, the breadth and depth of the research on the application of group work to college students’ interpersonal communication cognition need to be further expanded, and more practical experience in the application of social work theory to college students’ interpersonal communication cognition needs to be explored. |
