The new curriculum reform requires to change the way of learning,and puts forward the requirements that education should "change students' poor method of learning by rote,enable students to learn efficiently and cultivate students' ability of lifelong studying".Quality education requires students not only to remember the knowledge,but also to understand and flexibly apply the knowledge at the same time.Besides,quality education should take advantages of students' potential as well as develop their scientific literacy.Teaching should not only pay attention to knowledge itself,but also focus on the process of knowledge understanding,so that students can realize a deep understanding of the knowledge they have learned.However,in today's teaching practice,teachers often ignore the students' understanding of knowledge,but emphasis too much on the memorizing of knowledge.The present research focuses on the construction and practical application of Senior One students' method in chemistry learning,i.e.the method of comprehending memorizing.The present research,guided by Bloom's taxonomy and information processing theory,analyzes the relevant literature about memory and understanding from home and abroad and gives a definition of comprehending learning and comprehending memorizing in chemistry study.The paper also puts forward six methods of comprehending memorizing:comprehending memorizing through experiments,comprehending memorizing by knowledge blocks,comprehending memorizing by comparing,comprehending memorizing logically,comprehending memorizing through connecting and comprehending memorizing visually.The present research designs a basic teaching model to enhance comprehending memorizing,including setting a goal,finding the starting point,designing and carrying out teaching activities,as well as evaluating and reflecting.The research was carried out in Class 16,Senior One in Beihai Middle School.The author has analyzed students' marks in chemistry tests,and students'interests,attitudes,memory and ability to solve problems.The results show that:1.The teaching method of comprehending memorizing improves the efficiency and achievement of students' chemistry learning.Before the research,the results of the experimental class and the control class were similar,but after that,the results of showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class(P=0.000<0.05).2.The teaching method of comprehending memorizing helps to improve students' interest and attitude.The results before and after the research show that the students have a great change in interest and attitude(P=0.000<0.05).3.The teaching method of comprehending memorizing helps to improve the students' ability of memory in chemistry learning.By comparing students' attitude,habits,methods and ability in memorizing,the author finds that student's memory capacity has been improved(P=0.000<0.05),especially the use of the method for memorizing(P=0.000<0.05)and the formation of the comprehending memorizing(P=0.002<0.05)which has significant difference before and after the research.4.The teaching method of comprehending memorizing can effectively improve students'ability of solving problems.The research analyzes individual cases at different stages from four dimensions:understanding of the problem itself,knowledge memorizing,knowledge application and knowledge transfer.The author finds that students' knowledge transfer needs to be improved,while the other three present obvious progress.Meanwhile,the present study also finds that:(1)the rational use of guiding materials can promote students' comprehending memory;(2)three steps in solving chemistry questions-solving,thinking and induction-can effectively promote students' comprehending memory.Owing to the limited level of theory and research,comparatively small samples and the short time,the method and application of comprehending memorizing need to be further improved and optimized.
