Career throughout the development of human life.Career education can la y a good foundation for students to move towards society and adapt to society,whic h designed to allow students to live a happy life suited to their own characteri stics.As the main place for teaching and educating people,the school plays an indispensable role.It can be seen that they all fully embodies the demand for career education whether from the angle of students or from the point of vie w of the school.Primary School is the basic stage of education.In this stage,the career education can lay a good foundation for the students' future career,which is the key to their future growth.It can be seen that it is urgent to ca rry out career education in primary school.However,in addition to Shanghai,Chongqing,Zhejiang and other small parts of our country,the implementation of career education in primary school in most other regions is worrying.The United States is the birthplace of career education.Since the 1970 s,under the guidance of the theory of career development,the career education curriculum for grades 1-12 has been developed,and the relevant legal and financial support systems have been guaranteed,which have been widely recognized by the society.Therefore,summarizing the characteristics of American primary school career Education.And drawing on the advanced experience of its curriculum objectives,curriculum content and implementation,which has great significance to the development of primary school career education in our country.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first part is introduction.It mainly includes the question raised,significance of the research,the review of relevant research at home and abroad,the ideas and method of the research and the research innovation and so on.The second part is an overview of career education in the United States.First,we have a brief overview of the development of career education in the United States.The time runs through the career guidance in the late 19 th century to the current stable period.Then it introduces the aim,content and implementation of career education in American primary school on the whole.The third part is career education of elementary school in New York,USA.The purpose,content and implementation of career education in New York ElementarySchool are expounded in detail.The forth part is the guarantee system of career education in primary school of American.They are introduced in four parts,respectively,policy guarantee,fund guarantee,the professionalism of the advisory body in the school,and the support of social organizations and educational organizations outside the school.The fifth part is the enlightenment of career education for our primary school.Based on the situation of our country,this paper draws inspiration from four aspects of the goal,content,implementation and guarantee.The sixth part is the conclusion.This paper makes a brief summary of the research,and points out the shortcomings of this paper and the prospect of the research.
