"Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2011)" suggests that in teaching,teachers should adhere to the student-oriented principle,optimize English class teaching to improve efficiency so as to promote the comprehensive development of students.But influenced by a variety of factors,teaching situation in rural areas has always been in an underdeveloped state,especially in English course.This situation is particularly typical in rural junior high school,and research scholars and English teachers have been exploring how to enhance students' interest in learning English and cultivate their good studying habits.In recent years,the rise of the target incentive teaching strategy is an important attempt to reform the quality of education.Teachers have been trying to stimulate students' interest in learning,and replacing teaching model of the passive indoctrination to take the initiative of students as the new model.The cultivation of students' good learning habits plays an important role in the process of teaching administration.So how to use the target incentive mechanism to mobilize the enthusiasm of students and cultivate good learning habits have been the focus of researches.This study explores the impact of target incentive mechanism on the cultivation of learning habits of English junior high school students and how to apply the target incentive mechanism in the process of cultivating students' learning habits in rural junior middle school.Taking Shulan No.3 Middle School as an example,this paper relies on the method of qualitative research and quantitative research,and employs three research tools: questionnaire,interview and test.Through the research,the following two conclusions are drawn: First,the application of the target incentive mechanism is helpful to cultivate the habit of habitual study,listening habits and working habits of English middle school students,especially in the listening habits,and actively participate in the classroom activities.Secondly,the application of the target incentive mechanism is more effective than the traditional teaching methods.It can be seen from the experiment that after the application of the target incentive mechanism,the achievement of the experimental class has been improved dramatically,and the students have also become more enthusiastic about learning English with more confidence.They are able to actively develop English learning habits.
