The Integration Of The Balloon Volleyball Into School-based Curriculum-Evidence From Vocational Technical Secondary School In Xiamen

As the only variation of traditional volleyball sports invented in our country,the Balloon Volleyball is a kind of sports with less constraint to gender,age and technics.It's easy to learn,good for bodybuilding,fun to play,and very delightful to watch.Hence,the sport is very suitable for vocational technical college students,and it will be a good try to promote Balloon Volleyball in vocational technical college.By using methods of literature studying,interviewing,observation,questionnaire,logical analysis,data analysis and teaching practice,this paper analyzed the integration of Balloon Volleyball courses into the School-Based Curriculum in Xiamen's vocational technical colleges specifically,including the necessity why the sport should be involved into the School-Based Curriculum,the current situation of Balloon Volley course construction in Xiamen' s vocational technical college,the feasibility of integrating a Balloon Volleyball course into the School-Based Curriculum.Negative factors that restricted Balloon Volleyball to integrate into School-Based Curriculum were deeply analyzed in this paper as well.Lacks of promotion,theoretical system and insufficient investment in hardware and software facilities were main reasons.Suggestions were also given in the paper.Finally,this paper believes that the Balloon Volleyball is one of the best choices for School-Based Curriculum in vocational technical colleges.
