Study Of The Program For The International Assessment Of Adult Competencies(PIAAC)

The Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies is a sample survey conducted by the world organization for economic cooperation and development(OECD)in 24 countries in the world in 2007.The project to the new era of adult ability of social demand as the focus of the investigation from three aspects of adult background information,general ability and key ability of information processing,a comprehensive study in the economic globalization,social informationization and the popularization of the Internet environment,the distribution and characteristics of international adult in each area,age,occupation,gender and other aspects of the ability.In October 2013,the first report of PIAAC was released to the world by the world economic cooperation organization,and the statistical characteristics of the original data were analyzed.Authoritative information based on the official release of the OECD,extensive reference to the relevant literature,the historical background and the origin of the launch from the PIAAC project,in-depth study of the purpose of the investigation,the project survey sample selection,survey methods and evaluation standards of the design and the results of the survey,project characteristics,significance and enlightenment,by the time perspective the full range of gain has theoretical significance and reference value of the conclusion of the study.The study found that,first,to participate in the investigation of the adult world in the key information processing ability showed strong difference;second,performance of young people’s ability is generally higher than that of older adults;third,test scores and relevance of the education background;fourth,the income level of the adult and the skill level of strong correlation;fifth generally,the imbalance between the sixth key skills;information processing capability is affected by many factors.
