Regional geography is an important part of geography learning in junior high school.Regional cognition is one of the most important core parts of geography in junior high school,and it is the basic idea and the method to guide geographical research and geographical practice.In the article,the status quo of junior middle school students'regional cognitive literacy were analyzed,and the effective cultivation strategies of middle school students' regional cognitive literacy were explored by analyzing the quality of junior high school students in Zhengzhou City.It aims to provide the first-line teachers with reference for solving the problems in the current regional geography teaching and learning,training the regional cognitive quality of students in junior high school effectively.This research is divided into five parts:the first part is the introduction.It mainly narrates the research background and significance,summarizes the related research at home and abroad,the purpose and content of the research,the research methods and ideas to be taken.The second part is the definition and constitution of regional cognitive literacy.Through the comprehensive analysis of the curriculum standards related to regional cognition in domestic and international curriculum standards and the definition of regional cognitive accomplishment and related literatures of domestic and foreign experts,the connotation and important constituent elements of regional cognitive accomplishment are clarified.Regional cognition includes several interrelated elements such as regional location,regional characteristics analysis,regional relation,regional differences,and regional development and other five factors.The third part is to analyze the present situation of regional cognitive literacy of the students junior middle school in Zhengzhou city based on the geography curriculum standard,and to discuss the rationality of the students' cognitive quality through the academic quality of the students.The fourth part analyzes the status of junior high school students' knowledge level from the situation of academic proficiency test,and probes into the problems of the students'knowledge and ability of the regional geography,as well as the problems existing in the current teaching of the teachers.In the fifth part,according the problems in the current regional geography teaching and learning,teaching strategies to improve students'cognitive literacy are put forward,by stimulating students' interest in learning geography,paying attention to teaching evaluation of the consistency of teaching and research activities,focusing on building the structure of regional geographical cognition,using the geography teaching method of "granting the fishing",and constructing "Diversification"of the classroom evaluation and so on.
