With the further deepening of the educational reform,research and study tours which are beneficial to students' all-round development appear in people's vision.Since the publication of the State Council General Office in 2013,which first proposed research travel as an educational activity,the research on the theory and practice of research and study travel activities by the majority of educators in our country is also deepening,which provides more abundant ways and means for students' all-round development,geographical Core Literacy is the main goal of current teaching,among which the cultivation of regional cognitive literacy is a teaching activity aiming at cultivating students' thinking ability in the area of space,it is self-evident to the students' lifelong development and the promotion of social progress.This paper puts forward to cultivate the students' regional cognitive attainments by means of research and study travel activities,so as to make them better form the spatial perspective and thinking ability.Therefore,the current regional cognitive literacy training and research travel activities become the main content of this study.After analyzing the current environment of educational reform,this paper selects constructivism learning theory,Dewey's pragmatic learning theory and Theory of multiple intelligences as the theoretical basis,and consulted the relevant concepts of "region","research trip" and "regional cognitive literacy",and searched the related research of research on research trip,regional cognitive literacy and the combination of both domestic and foreign research materials,based on the background and significance of the research,the authors investigated and interviewed the geography teachers and high school students in two schools of different levels in Xinxiang by using the methods of questionnaire survey,interview,Literature Review and data analysis,based on the analysis of the data,we find that there are some problems in the current research travel activities and regional cognitive literacy training in Xinxiang,such as high participation of teachers,but the awareness of research travel needs to be improved;The Organization of research travel has become a normal activity,but mainly short-term and close-distance activities;the choice of research travel destination is inclined to natural scenery,but the knowledge reserve needs to be improved;Teachers pay more attention to the cultivation of regional cognitive quality and have some thoughts on the ways of cultivation and evaluation.Students have a high degree of participation but need to improve theirknowledge of research travel;students have a high degree of participation but need to improve their knowledge of research travel;Students for the regional cognitive quality of the actual situation is not ideal and other issues and current situation.According to the existing problems,five feasible suggestions are put forward:(1)to choose a research base with distinct theme and regional characteristics;(2)to construct a research course that permeates regional thinking;4 give full play to the main role of students 5 further improve the assessment and evaluation machine.And according to the objective reality and literature analysis of its feasibility and scientific,to ensure that the five-point strategy of the real and practical.Based on the five-point Strategy and the actual situation in Xinxiang,two research trips of long-distance and short-distance are designed,which are beneficial to the cultivation of regional cognitive literacy,according to the content of geography textbook and the standard of geography course,the design basis and design principles are put forward to provide scientific support for case design.The two design cases are the short-distance 1-2-day study tour of Wulongshan Mountain in South Taihang and the long-distance 5-7-day study tour in northwest China.To sum up,based on the current situation of research and study travel,this paper investigates the actual situation of Xinxiang in order to further promote the development of regional cognitive literacy in geography core literacy,this paper puts forward five suggestions for cultivating regional cognitive literacy in research and study travel,and designs two research and study travel cases in order to provide reference for educators,which is also the innovation of this paper.
