For a long time,people have paid more attention to the reading of Chinese and English,but they have neglected the reading of mathematics.They think that mathematics is just learning definitions,symbols,formulas and so on.In recent years,mathematics text reading teaching has begun to be emphasized both at home and abroad.Through the PISA test,we can see the gap between China's reading and other countries.Mathematical text reading can enable learners to explore the meaning of mathematical texts through interesting and inspiring mathematical reading texts such as texts and diagrams,based on information windows in the textbooks.For the third-year students who are in the critical period,the improvement of the reading ability of mathematics texts is necessary and urgent,but many teachers and parents do not pay enough attention to them.The new curriculum standard puts forward new requirements for reading.It requires teachers to master math text reading teaching and help students to learn mathematics better.This article has an important theoretical and practical significance for promoting mathematics teaching reform in primary schools through the study of third-grade mathematics text reading teaching.This article uses literature research methods,observation methods,survey methods and other methods to obtain the required information.The author took part of students and teachers in Area A of Yantai City as the survey objects,conducted corresponding interviews and questionnaire surveys,analyzed the results,and reached relevant conclusions.This article first interviewed teachers and students about the status quo of mathematics text reading teaching for third grade primary school students and conducted a questionnaire survey to understand the students' and teachers' understanding of mathematical text reading teaching.Through the investigation of the status quo and the analysis of the data,we found that the teachers have problems in the teaching of mathematics text reading,and found out the reasons for the problems,and put forward some suggestions on the teaching of mathematics text reading for third-year students.The author believes that the problems existing in the third-grade mathematics text reading teaching in primary schools and their causes include: teachers and students are not fully aware of the importance of teaching mathematics text reading;teachers' guidance on math text reading teaching is not perfect;mathematical text reading materials Not diversified,students lack good reading habits,and teachers and other students do not properly evaluate students' math text reading.To solve the above problems,the author thinks that we should start from the following aspects: teachers and students should enhance the awareness of mathematical text reading teaching,teachers should provide comprehensive mathematical text reading guidance,pay attention to the diversity and expansion of math text reading materials,students should develop Good mathematics text reading habits;teachers should recommend materials suitable for students' mathematics text reading;students should develop good mathematics text reading habits and build a scientific mathematical text reading teaching evaluation system.
