| With the advance of science and technology and the advent of Internet era,high-tech information technology is gradually developing with momentum and speed,which has in turn spurred the reform and innovation in the PE teaching in universities.Nowadays,college PE teaching is undergoing the information-based turn in development in a diversified and flexible way.Wearable technology has become the new trend in the reform and development of information technology.Hence,college PE teachers should utilize this new mode of information technology.After collecting,sorting and analyzing the real data in students’ sports activities,PE teachers can conduct the PE teaching and evaluation more objectively and scientifically.Based on the former research findings in this regard,this paper will focus on the study of wearable-technology aided badminton teaching through comparing it with the traditional badminton teaching and find out to what extent wearable technology is effective in badminton teaching,thus providing some useful insight into the college badminton teaching.Through conducting literature review,field study,trial teaching observation,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,we have designed some relevant experiments in wearable-technology aided PE teaching in order to find out how wearable technology can be applied in badminton teaching to achieve the best reaching results.The paper also tries to find out whether wearable-technology aided teaching can contribute to the improvement of students’ physical well-being,build-up of their interest in badminton,improvement of badminton skills and retainment of life-long participation in sports.Two rounds of experiments conducted in the paper have generated the following findings;1.There is no obvious difference in the physical wellbeing of students in the control group and experimental group,but there is apparent difference in students’ performance when throwing and fetching badminton in the two groups,which indicates wearable-technology aided teaching can help to improve their muscular power in arms and legs and their physical coordination.2.College PE teachers should apply wearable technology to their teaching and formulate a more effective and flexible teaching plan based on the data collected from students’ activities to better improve their badminton skills.3.Wearable technology can help teachers to strengthen students’ interest in sports and enable students to discover and further solve problem on their own.4.With the application of wearable technology in PE teaching,students show stronger interest and participate in class activities more actively,thus fostering the life-long interest in sports.Suggestions:1.In order to achieve the best teaching results,teachers should get a thorough knowledge about their students and formulate an effective teaching plan after collecting and analyzing the data related to students’ performance.2.While applying wearable technology to their PE teaching,teachers should try to motivate students to take their initiative in the student-centered teaching.Wearable technology is only the means to the end and it should be used to improve the teaching results by multiple means.3.We should integrate the wearable-technology aided badminton teaching with the traditional teaching methods and use the wearable technology flexibly to bring out the best teaching results.4.Badminton teaching plan should be flexible and allow for sudden changes and new situations with the application of wearable technology.Hence,teachers should also adapt to the new changes and situations and be flexible in the course of teaching.In sum,wearable-technology aided teaching can serve as a new supplement to the traditional PE teaching.We still need to conduct more experiments and trial research to achieve the optimal teaching result before introducing and applying it extensively to the college PE teaching on a large scale. |
