Our country has entered a new era of the 21 st century.Various new knowledge has sprung from people.How to filter out useful information involves personal reading ability.While students are the future of the country,improving their reading ability is of great significance not only to themselves but also to the country.Among them,high school students are at a crucial period in their lives,and they should strive to cultivate their reading abilities.Therefore,high school schools should be responsible for this task.However,rural high schools,which are an important part of senior high school education,are lagging behind in economic development and relatively remote geographical locations.Therefore,there are many shortcomings and deficiencies in education.There are many problems that are worth exploring and researching.The paper takes a rural high school-Yuji high school in Shangcheng County,Xinyang City as the research object.Based on the individual's teaching experience and field observations,this paper makes some thoughts on the cultivation of extracurricular reading ability in rural high school and puts forward some opinions.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.It briefly introduces the research background,including theoretical significance and application value,domestic research status,development trend and research methods.The second part is the investigation of the problem of extracurricular reading in rural high school.Through questionnaire surveys,interviews,lectures,and own experiences,it was found that rural high school neglects extracurricular reading,students have little interest in reading,lack of reading time,poor reading attitude,low reading efficiency,and failure of teachers to follow the example and be perfunctory.There are many issues such as behavior.The third part is the analysis of the causes of extracurricular reading in rural high school.The fact that schools are too utilitarian,poor reading conditions,lack of professional knowledge of teachers,lack of migration skills,poor basic knowledge of students,and lack of good reading habits have constrained the improvement of the ability to read extracurricular Chinese.The fourth part is the strategy for improving the extracurricular reading ability in rural high school.Put forward ideas for change,stimulate interest,strengthen guidance,cultivate habits,enhance skills,and set a good example;give space,free development strategies.The fifth part is an epilogue that gives a high level of summary and summary of the above content and reiterates the importance of improving reading ability.Paper innovation points are put forward strategy,first of all,emphasized the relate inside and outside class,the teacher wants to enhance classroom teaching skills,find a proper breakthrough point text,can by in-class reading text to the migration of extracurricular reading text reading,example of students development,take the lead.In addition,it also emphasizes that students should be given space under the guidance of teachers so that they can develop freely,choose to read content and methods freely,and freely express their reading comprehension,so that students can be masters of reading.Only schools,teachers and students work together,to really improve the present situation of the rural high school Chinese extracurricular reading,improve extracurricular reading ability,let the student fall in love with the language,learn to love reading,love of the Chinese nation excellent culture,free and happy "reading".
