Chinese teachers who teach in Mexico generally reflect the problem of Chinese classroom management in primary and secondary schools.However,Mexican teachers are doing very well on this issue.In order to solve this practical problem,explore the reasons behind and put forward corresponding suggestions,the author conducts a series of investigations and studies.First,this research conducts a survey among Chinese teachers who teach in Mexico to summarize their Chinese classroom management.The survey covers public teachers,volunteer teachers,part-time teachers and full-time teachers who have lived in Mexico for many years.The questions including basic personal information,classroom conventional management,classroom environment management,classroom order management and classroom activities management and the teacher's training.Second,this research conducts a class observation of Chinese classes for Mexican Chinese teachers in order to summarize the classroom management of Mexican teachers.The observation accumulates 1000 minutes,covers preschool,primary and secondary schools.Through the investigation of Chinese teachers and Mexican teachers,this study found that there are many differences in classroom management between them.In terms of these differences,the author interviews two Chinese teachers and one Mexican teacher.Based on the results of the survey and interviews,this study argues that the reasons caused Chinese teachers' classroom management problems are cross-cultural conflicts,language barriers,failure to teach students according to their aptitudes and classroom design issues.For these reasons,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions to the teachers' training of Hanban,local Confucius Institutes and Hanban cooperation agencies,public teachers and volunteer Chinese teachers.As for the teachers' training of Hanban,pre-training should be divided into classes according to the teaching objects;strengthen language training;and carry out perfect shift hand over working of volunteers.In the area of Confucius Institutes and Chinese-Hanban cooperation agencies,arrange language training courses for Chinese teachers and volunteers;arrange expatriate teachers,volunteers and local teachers to observe the curriculum of each other;and strengthen communication with the cooperative school management.For public teachers and volunteer Chinese teachers: In the classroom routine,they should understand the classroom situation in primary and secondary schools in Mexico,school rules and characteristics of students actively.In the classroom environment,they should pay attention to the inside and outside classroom environment;grasp the classroom rhythm,enrich the classroom content.In the classroom order,they should build a Chinese class system which including appropriate punitive measures and Chinese class reward system.In class activities,enrich the number and form of activities;localize the activities;and make the paper practice interesting.
