Since 2001,Chinese curriculum standards of compulsory education has strongly promoted students to "read the whole book " Junior high school students are at a critical stage in their lives."Reading the whole book" can improve students’ reading ability,broaden their horizons,improve their cultural literacy and further enrich their spiritual world.However,according to the investigation,junior middle school students’ current situation of "Reading the whole book" is not optimistic.This is closely related to teachers’ guidance.Therefore,the author explores the guiding strategy of reading the whole book for junior middle school students in order to improve such situations.This article is divided into five parts.The first part introduces the background,current situation and significance of reading the whole book using the literature research method.The second part expounds the guiding significance of reading the whole book for junior middle school students.In the third part,the questionnaire survey is used to investigate junior middle school students’ current situation of reading the whole book as well as the status quo of teachers’ guidance and the analysis is also made.In the fourth part,case analysis method is used and Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk is taken as an example to make a teaching design and post-class feedback on this design is made by students and then the thesis organizes and analyzes them.The fifth part summarizes junior middle school students’ current situation of reading the whole book as well as the feedback of the teaching design of Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk and puts forward several constructive guiding strategy and guidelines in order to provide reference for the teaching of read the whole book.The last part summarizes the whole thesis and points out the deficiencies of this thesis.In short,taking Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk as example,this thesis entering practical level so that the whole book reading guidance strategy has greater feasibility and it contributes to the classroom teaching of the whole book reading.
