The Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)lists "Whole book reading " as one of the expanded learning task groups of the compulsory Chinese curriculum for junior high school,which includes the reading of the whole book in the junior high school Chinese curriculum system."Whole book reading" as a new concept to help students develop good reading habits,enrich the spiritual world,promote curriculum reform is of great significance.However,many teachers do not understand the spirit of the whole book reading,and the improvement of students’ reading ability and thinking ability has not been paid attention to.Therefore,this paper takes the "whole book reading" of junior high school "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" as the research object to explore the implementation of the whole book reading teaching,in order to provide teaching ideas for front-line teachers "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" whole book reading teaching.This paper will study from five parts:The introduction part expounds the background,objectives,practical significance,and methods of this paper.The first chapter expounds the related concepts of "whole book reading" task group,analyzes the importance of "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" whole book reading and the teaching value and theme of "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk".The second chapter is the survey of the reading status of the whole book in junior middle school.After the statistical survey results and problem analysis,it summarizes the problems existing in the reading teaching of the whole book Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk.The students’ reading efficiency is low,the main body status is not paid enough attention to,the teachers’ reading teaching plan is insufficient,and the reading information are not provided.The third chapter,based on the previous investigation status and the existing research on the reading teaching of the whole book Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk,divides the reading of the whole book into three classes,namely,the guided reading method,the advanced class and the summary class,the drawing of the mind map,the provision of assisted reading materials,the introduction of literary criticism method,the use of task-driven,the combination of narrative theory,and the practice of writing after class.Integrate reading gains.The fourth chapter is the teaching design of "Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk" combined with teaching strategies.Set up the framework,set up the teaching activities,and investigate and evaluate.
