The Study Of Vocational Education In Xinyang Since Modern Times 1903-2013

In the period of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty,vocational education,as an important part of the new type of education,began to appear in China.At present,studies on the history of Chinese vocational education since modern times are mostly concentrated on the macro-system level,and there is a lack of specific research on the development process of vocational education from a regional perspective.Based on this,this paper takes Xinyang area as an example to discuss the factors affecting the development of vocational education and the interaction between vocational education and regional society on the basis of clarifying the development history of Xinyang vocational education since modern times.This paper is divided into the following three parts to discuss:First,the origin of vocational education in Xinyang(1903-1924).In the late Qing Dynasty,the traditional education in the Xinyang area still maintained the system centered on the imperial examinations.The main educational institutions were the state-run schools and colleges.In the period of the New Deal in the late Qing Dynasty,with the introduction of Western new-style education ideas and the Qing government’s orders,the earliest normal school in Xinyang was established.At the same time,under the stimulation of the “industry saves the nation” trend,the Industrial School,which aims to cultivate agricultural silkworm technical talents,has also begun to establish.Second,the development of vocational education in Xinyang(1925-1949).During the period of Nanjing National Government,the vocational education in Xinyang gradually formed the pattern of normal education,agricultural education and medical education.The Normal School led by Xinyang Normal School in Henan Province trained a large number of rural teachers in the south of Henan Province.The second vocational school in Henan province plays a prominent role in promoting the development of agriculture and horticulture in the south of Henan.The establishment of Private Yunan Datong Hospital and Nurse School promoted the modernization of medical technology in southern Henan.Third,promotion of vocational education in Xinyang(1950-2013),the promotion of vocational education in Xinyang has been promoted.In the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,vocational education in Xinyang District has been greatly developed to meet the needs of professional and technical personnel for local socio-economic development.During the Great Leap Forward and theCultural Revolution,vocational education in Xinyang District was severely damaged.Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of the social economy,Xinyang vocational education has also entered a stage of rapid development,and the scale of schooling has continued to expand.The establishment of the agricultural South of Henan College,marked vocational education in Xinyang entered the stage of higher vocational education.Based on the existing secondary vocational schools,the Xinyang Vocational and Technical College and the Xinyang Agriculture and Forestry College were established,reflecting that the vocational education in Xinyang District has entered the stage of higher vocational education after a century of development.
