The development and maturity of any subject can not be separated from the understanding and reflection of its own history,and the discipline of art education is certainly no exception.The famous American educator,Dewey,once said that the history of education is like the experimental garden of educational science.This sentence can also be used to describe the close relationship between the history of art education and the discipline of art education.The history of art education is also an experimental garden of art education.By studying the history of art education,we can know how the art education took place in history,how it came into being and how to practice art education,and how its practice is.This is an important way to understand the causes of the phenomenon of art education,the background and foundation of its formation,and the inevitability of its occurrence.It helps to understand the nature,characteristics and characteristics of art education,so as to serve contemporary art education.This research takes the art education in the educational system as the research object,that is,the small school and the middle school,but for the sake of systematic research,kindergartens,industrial schools and normal schools are also included.The time ranges from the late Qing Dynasty to the founding of the founding of the people's Republic of China,that is,before the founding of the statute of the sonding school,before the founding of People's Republic of China.A historical study of school art education in modern China is to explore the overall development of art education in modern China,including the basic characteristics of the macro context and the specific cases of micro school art teaching.In the specific investigation,this article is divided into specific problems to carry out research,for example,what is the origin of modern school art education?
