The estimates come from the actual needs of daily life.In most cases,we solve the problems in life which do not necessarily require the accurate answers,only an estimate of the value will be able to solve the problem,so the main effect of estimating is to expediently solve some practical problems in life.Estimating teaching is to explore the estimation method and estimation strategy through the joint participation of teachers and students,so that students can master the estimation methods and strategies,and form the awareness of estimation.Thus,the problem can be solved better by applying it to the problem situation or life.However,there are still many problems in estimating teaching,especially the estimating teaching in rural primary school.The solutions of these problems are very important for teachers to teach them well and to estimate students well.This article discusses the problems existing in the estimation teaching of grade four in rural primary school from four aspects,namely,teacher teaching estimation,student learning estimation,teaching environment and teaching effect.The teachers interviewed,found the following problems:(1)Teachers' lack of understanding of the importance of estimation and estimation teaching;(2)Some teachers teach in old methods.They pay more attention to the result of teaching,ignoring the teaching process;(3)Some teachers think that methods in the textbook can not be replaced;(4)The teaching efficiency is not high,after class,different teachers adopt different ways.(5)"Math fun" was considered as a play class,sometimes even be ignored.The following problems are found from the classroom observation:(1)The teacher arranged the classroom,always let the students write conclusion;(2)The point of teacher's questions is not clear,so that students blindly cater to them;(3)Students behave differently in class,and a few students control the entire class;(4)Some teachers don't like physical teaching aids,multimedia has become "magnifier".After the students in fourth grade have taken the test of estimation ability in primary school.I found the problems following:(1)The oral ability affects the estimation ability;(2)Estimation strategy choice is not optimized;(3)Estimate after computations,estimating in order to estimate is contrary to nature estimates;(4)The estimation result is not a reasonable judgment according to the actual situation;(5)Some student use the accurate calculation instead of estimated calculation.This article will combine the above problems and analyze the reasons of the problems,then find the measures to solve the problems from prepares before teaching,attaches great importance to teaching,teaching evaluation on the reasonable.
