Sometimes,it is easier to estimate than to calculate accurately,without the need for accurate results,to ensure that certain precision approximates the actual problem.As a method of estimation,reasoning and judgment,estimation has been paid more and more attention in educational circles,but in fact,it needs to be studied how to implement the estimation teaching and what problems exist in teaching.Taking B primary schools in A city as an example,this paper investigates the present situation of mathematics estimation teaching in elementary schools and tries to solve the following two problems:First,What is the status of estimated teaching in primary schools?Second,What are the main reasons for the above problems in estimating teaching?Third,What corresponding countermeasures are put forward for estimation teaching?The study was completed in three parts.First,a great deal of literature was read through the literature method,and a questionnaire was proposed.Second,the present situation of the questionnaire is analyzed.Finally,based on statistical analysis,this paper probes into the causes of the current teaching situation.The research results reveal that the primary school mathematics estimation teaching mainly has the problem of teachers insufficient understanding of the meaning and function of students' learning estimation,lack of introduction to the estimation method system and insufficient grasp of the syllabus of teaching materials,which leads to the weak consciousness of students using estimation.The reasons for the above problems are as follows: First.,Teachers who are not employed are weak in estimating teaching awareness.Second,There are significant gender differences in estimating teaching activity.Third,Teaching groups in the lower grades are not very active in estimating teaching motivation.Fourth,estimation and evaluation criteria are only.Fifth,Teachers have a deep concept of traditional estimation.Finally,some suggestions are put forward for this phenomenon: First,.teachers should improve their own estimation ability.Second,teachers should pay attention to developing students estimation consciousness.Third,they should pay attention to the use of estimation strategies Fourth,they should adopt effective and reasonable estimation evaluation.Fifth,they should go out of the radiation circle of traditional teaching ideas.
