Science of Biology has always been closely tied with people's daily life,health,health care and ecological environment.The life-orientated teaching with content close to actual life of senior high school biology has become the inevitable tendency of the teaching reform at present.One of the principle of the curriculum standards for senior high school has changed from Focus on the Connections with Actual Life in version of 2003 to Emphasize the Practice in the Teaching Process in version of 2007,which emphasizing more on the cultivation of students ability to deal with actual problems happening in practical life with scientific points of views.While there are many problems existing in the teaching of biology,for example,the main purpose of the biology teaching is for examinations,students' examination performances have been paid too much attention,the knowledge can not be learned or used flexibly,knowledge taught is separated with actual life and etc.With this kind of background,concept that teaching content should be close to life has been put forward in purpose of solving problems happening when students are carrying out their study of biology.This thesis selects the teaching content of senior high school biology as the study object.With the base of massive reading about related documents and literatures,my study is carried out by means of review of literature,analysis of cases and survey by questionnaire.There are six chapters in this thesis as below: The first chapter introduces the background,domestic and international status,purpose,significance,and methods and innovations of this research.The second chapter generally narrates the related concepts of life-oriented teaching.Through viewing reference of related literatures,the related theories are concluded to support this study.Theories include: Education is also life,teach naturally,life is education and so on.The third chapter introduces the teaching principles that can be applied to implement the life-oriented teaching,The teaching principles include the integration of scientific and mental ideological,characters of open and innovative included.In the fourth chapter,survey on the present status of the teaching content close to life has been carried out with the object of two senior high schools in Guanxian Liaocheng from aspects of the teacher and the student.And the result are also analyzed in this chapter.The fifth chapter narrates from the two aspects including how to teach with the content close to life and how to realize the purpose of making teaching life-oriented.In how toteach with the content close to life,column and content in compulsory volume No.1 of senior high school biology are analyzed.Methods to realize the purpose of making teaching life-oriented are analyzed from three aspects of teaching goal,teaching method and after-class assignments.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of this thesis.Making teaching content close to life in teaching of senior high school biology can enhance the students' interests in studying biology and strengthen the students' enthusiasm for studying.It is also corresponding to the teaching idea at present time period and should be spread and promoted in the actual teaching activities.However,since there are influencing factors such as the raw information of survey,diversity of different regions and also the author's lack of practical teaching experience,there are still shortages in this thesis that are in need of improvements in the future.
