Advances in biotechnology make the conflict between science and ethics keep continuing. Along with the times advancement and technology development, traditional moral education theories, contents and methods can no longer meet the needs for talented people by today's society. In this article, I systematically discussed the exploring for the ways and methods in bioethics education in middle school via the medium of classroom teaching and learning and through basic principles of moral education and current several problematic social issues brought about by modern biotechnology, such as environmental pollution, transgenic safety, living organism cloning and euthanasia. The key point of this article is to advocate the ways in bioethics education that combine the living practice with moral education content. Especially, through life stories, direct transferring of pre-existed moral principles and standards can change into stimulating students to experience living, to experience life and to pursue life. In the meantime, life stories can fulfill the transform of the role and function of moral education. This will help deal with the relationships between people and nature, between people and society, and between people and people, and this will further solve the problems related to personal rational characters, wills, and sensations and finally help improve personal overall qualities to fulfill personal sustainable development. |
