Population policies centered on family planning policies will have a lasting and far-reaching impact on people's life history. The related academic research results in the past have focused on the macro-results of the family planning policy. However, whether the number of siblings,as a direct consequence of the family planning policy, will have a beneficial effect on the microscopic individuals and its mechanism of action is the focus of this article. This article first reviews the historical development of China's population and the latest research on population history. It also carries out a basic review and summarization of China's population development and constant adjustment of population policies. Then, this article begins with a micro-perspective of how family planning policies affect individuals' socio-economic status, and uses the 2010 data from China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)to empirically test the relationship between family planning policies and personal socio-economic status..The number of siblings and the number of births were used to examine the influence of the two on the individual's education level and personal income and their mechanisms. The results of the study show that the reduction in the family size brought about by the family planning policy can increase the average level of education of offspring, and thus increase the average income of individuals.Individuals' education level and income level are in line with the increase in the role of individuals. The socio-economic status will also be improved, thus demonstrating the establishment of the "Keeping balance between the quality of children's quantity" in China's social environment. At the same time, due to the differences in regional and ethnic differences in China's family planning policy,it is possible to explain the differences in individual social mobility between urban and rural areas and among ethnic groups. In addition, the siblings as an important part of family resources, the function of the family's protection and the risk of resistance can not be ignored.Again, the family planning policy,as a major national policy, will change the individual's life trajectory.Under this powerful policy, everyone's life course has its own unique line and deep traces of the times.
