Study On The Parenting Stress Of Parents Of Children With Autism In Social Work

With the advancement of medical standards in recent years,the diagnostic criteria for autism have become clearer and more and more patients with autism have been found.Autism is a kind of neurodevelopment disorder.So far,the root cause of autism has not yet been found in medicine,and there is no cure or medical treatment to cure autism.It can be said that autism still is an incurable disease at the current medical level.An incurable disease.The current treatment methods for autism are mainly rehabilitation training,supplemented by certain medications,but it is difficult for children with autism to recover to normal levels even if they receive timely treatment.Parents of children with autism have to endure this problem.With great parental pressure.In this study,the Parenting Stress Index/Short From was used to measure the parenting stress of 26 parents of children with autism in the X institution of Lanzhou.The results showed that their parenting stress averaged 109.81,which was at a very high level.Through the interviews with parents of children with autism,the author found that the causes of parenting stress are various,and they mainly include pressure from autistic children,family interpersonal relationships,economic burden,and social environment.In order to ease the parenting stress of autistic children's parents,the author recruited 8 team members,conducted 6 group activities,and used professional methods of social work to reduce parenting stress on parents of autistic children.The results of the study showed that the average score of parenting stress dropped from 107 to 93 in 8group members.The pressure on parental care dropped from “very high level” to “high level”,confirming that social work methods involve in parents of autistic children's parenting Stress is necessary and feasible,and the parenting stress of group work on parents of children with autism is effective.
